Some more school photos

Not much to add. These photos came in this weekend, and are simply a late addition to the last blog. This is the whole lineup of matriculating (newly registered in their first year at Cambridge University) postgraduate (MPhil and PhD) student members of Girton College. Can you find me in the photo?
Most Oxbridge colleges have a Master and a Vice-Master, while some have a Principal or a President. Girton's history is unique, as the first educational institution in the United Kingdom to allow women to take degree courses and sit degree examinations, and - about 90 years later, after a series of refusals from the University - as the first residential college to actually award degrees to its female students. Girton, therefore, also is unique among all Oxbridge colleges in having a Mistress. Here is Girton's Mistress, Dr. Elisabeth Kendall, and beside her is Girton's Vice-Mistress, Dr. James Wade (which fact makes me smile but also fills my heart with pride and satisfaction at the reversal of normal gendernomics).

Finally here's my reaction when the 170+ matriculating students all began to sing "Happy Birthday to Me"!

And here they are still singing, everybody looking at me. Made me very happy, but also way too much attention for my first day at Cambridge University.
